Wyatt and I met Freshman year at the 9th Grade Center during gym class. We were always staring at each other; locking eyes most of the time. But we weren't 100% sure if it was because we both had crushes on one another...turns out we did. I told all my friends Wyatt liked me, but they thought I was being crazy. Little moments happened where Wyatt would come up to my friends and I and try to spark conversation and that's when I knew he liked me. Time went by and it was the day before fall break which meant the student vs. staff volleyball game was happening. My friends and I went and not long after we sat down, I immediately seen Wyatt walk in and sit on the opposite side of the gym on the bleachers. I couldn't stop staring at him. I then went to try and find his Instagram, but I couldn't tell which account was his. So, I ended up messaging his best friend and he replied with Wyatts Instagram. Wyatt told me a couple years ago that his friend texted him right after I asked him for Wyatts Instagram saying how the girl (me) that Wyatt liked, asked for his Instagram and he said he got so happy. I ended up adding him after the game and texted him "heyy" and he replied back with the same thing. I was so nervous, but knew I had to shoot my shot. So we talked for almost 2 weeks and admitted we had liked one another for awhile now. I was surprised he liked me from GYM class, but if he liked me then, I knew he had to be the one haha. We clicked INSTANTLY. Wyatt knew he wanted me to be his girlfriend and he was going to ask me in person when we went back to school. But he couldn't wait so he asked me over text and it became official October 15th, 2019. Wyatt and I have been together almost 6 1/2 years. We're the only couple that I know is still together from 2019. Whoever knows Wyatt, knows me and vice versa. We met at one of the lowest points of my life. Wyatt saved me and brought my spark back and it hasn't gone away since. Ben Davis helped me find my soulmate, my person, my forever. I'll always be grateful for that gym and for our schedules to have been aligned with one another. We got to know each other's families and hang out with them all the time. His family is mine and mine is his. We did almost every school event together too. We went through all of high school together. We went to Junior and Senior prom and graduated by each other's side. We grew up together. All of the lows and highs together. Life has definitely thrown obstacles our way, but staying together and fighting them together is way better than doing it alone. Being able to lean on your partner and confide in them plays such a huge part in relationships. Now we have our own apartment and a cat we adopted together. We're keeping up with our own and loving life knowing we get to wake up next to one another for the rest of our lives. We both have our own cars and good jobs. We like to go out and make memories with each other any chance we get. We bond by playing video games, going out to eat or even late night drives blasting our favorite music. Wyatt's my comfort spot, my light in the dark. We're the definition of high school sweetheart. Everytime someone we used to know sees a picture of us or sees us out in public, they always ask "Wow, you guys are STILL together?!" It always makes us laugh, but we proudly respond with "Yes" because we stuck by one another. We didn't let the world break us apart. We're mended into each other's lives for eternity. We haven't gotten married yet, but I know it's in the near future. Wyatt said he wants it to be perfect for me and we're still a little young, so there's no rush at all. We've learned that as long as we have each other, we have the world. Wyatt did get me a promise ring in 2023 that I always have on. He promised his unconditional love to me and he's never broke his promise. Love is such a beautiful thing to witness. Especially witnessing life with the person you met at 14 and we're now going to be 21 this year. Time for sure flies, but I wouldn't wanna do life with anyone else. Ben Davis will always be in my heart because I found the love of my life there. So thank you BD!!! ❤️
