We met at a girls varsity basketball game in 1991. I (Tammie) had a crush on Scott and our family would attend all Ben Davis sporting events. My parents were Ben Davis grads. I developed a relationship with Scott’s mom during the basketball games and I knew his sisters from being part of the girls basketball program. Then during the fall of 1992, Scott was heading to get his picture taken for the Hoosier Basketball magazine and asked me to the homecoming dance while I was with the volleyball team setting up for an invitational. From the point forward we dated from 1992-1995. We went to all the football games together. After home games we would eat at the Noble Romans across the street. We still try to eat there when we can. We then went separate directions. Scott joined the Navy and Tammie was living in Illinois. Ten years later in 2005, we reconnected and were married. We will be married 20 years this June.
