I am Deanette (Denni) Davis. My husband is Scott Edwards. We met in 8th grade Chemistry class at Ben Davis Jr. High. He had a lab partner and so did I, but our partners weren't pulling their weight. So I asked Scott if he could help me with a question. We ended up partnering together, while our partners "slept" during class. Anyway, together, all four of us passed the class and I never saw Scott again until 2014.

After almost 50 years, I saw his picture and name on Facebook. I have my 9th grade and 10th grade yearbooks so I looked him up and it was truly the Scott Edwards I knew in 8th grade. So, after two divorces, I decided to contact him. I reached out and asked him if he "was the Scott Edwards that was my study buddy in 8th grade chemistry?" It took him about 6 months to respond (he said later he rarely was on FB and apologized!)

Any way, he said he was, indeed, the same Scott Edwards. So we talked a lot, saw each other a couple times. Him and his son helped me move. Then in 2016, we took it to the next step and started dating. We married on 12/23/2017 (celebrated 8 years last month). We've been happier than any other time in our lives. Living our retirement years in a small town with our two dogs, 1 cat and 4 aquariums. We're both still working part-time and our best time together is out on the water in our pontoon boat.

Definitely BDJHS was responsible for us even knowing each other, let alone our futures be together. Just two kids from the neighborhood... finally meeting their "person".
