Our parents said we played in a downstairs area as preschoolers while they square danced in another area but did not really know each other. Our next known meeting was at Westlake grade school where we both attended third grade when it first opened. We were in separate classes there from 3rd grade through 8th grade (A-L last names were in one classroom while M-Z's were always in the other.) Mike & I dated our sophomore year at Ben Davis HS but dated other people our junior year. We began dating again the summer before our senior year and have been together ever since! We married our sophomore year at IU and just celebrated our 59th anniversary on February 1st and still going strong! We have lived in The Villages, FL for 21 years....snowbirds for the first 13 and have two siblings living five minutes away. We have two children, nine grandchildren with two of them married in 2025 and will have our first great-grandchild in 2026. God has blessed us in many ways and we are very grateful for the love, family, friends and faith we have shared.
