We met in 1989 at a BD football game. We got to know each other at every home game that season and started dating in November. We dated Michael's senior year and my junior and senior year, attending the 1990 and 1991 proms together. Both of us went to Ball State and graduated in 1994 with degrees in elementary education, and we married that summer. We spent one year teaching on the Navajo Reservation in New Mexico before moving to Georgia, where we have been ever since. After moving to Georgia, we had three daughters and have enjoyed living in a much warmer place than Indiana, but we have fond memories of football games, track meets, and choir performances and will always consider ourselves Giants.
